Un week-end haut en couleur (partie 2) : Carnival de Barcelona
On Sunday after noon, in the district El Born, took place finale of the carnival of Barcelona. Begun since Thursday already, the carnival took place on several days, every explaining day one of the stages of the story of the carnival (a story of king and giants for more information, I invite you to go here).
For my part, I just attended the final parade as well as the battle of confettis on plaça comercial (near saint-Catherine’s market). I also attended traditional Catalan dances on the square, before the arrival of the parade. However, I more looked on the big screen which showed in live the dances, because the dancers were surrounded by a multitude of people.
Then, as the parade arrived, I went in a nearby street with my friends to see it arriving. I apologize in advance for the quality of photos; not only the parade scrolled fast (and impossible to say » stop, wait, I take a photo! « ) and besides, it was a total fight to take a photo without somebody who passes in front of your device (aaah the tourists). Then, once parade was almost ended, we returned on plaça comercial to assist upon the arrival of king on the stage and make the battle of confettis.
In the end, all this lasted only two hours, even less, but thanks to suits, to colors, to the music, to the enjoyment, and to the friendly atmosphere which reigned, I had the impression that it had lasted all the afternoon.
C'est coloré ça donne le sourire!
Ca devait être sympa comme évènement
