Chroniques d’une (nouvelle) Barcelonaise
Hi guys ! First at all, I wanted to apologize for the lack of posts ! I moved in Barcelona last week and since this moment, I haven’t stop : between my move in, the « goodbyes » with my dad, the purchase of a spanish sim card, and other last minute stuff (pass for the transports, an on mattress because mine is really hard and directly put on a wooden board) I haven’t got the time for blogging ! And even less to write an article.
I then enjoy a little moment of rest to make you a report of this busy week. My flat is located between Vallcarca and Lesseps, in a northern neighborhood of Barcelona I had never been too. Used to the antique monuments of Ciutat Vella o to the modern flats of Paseig de Gracia, I stayed open-mouthed when I moved in. In my neighborhood, streets are going up and down all the time, because we are really close from the Tibidabo. Sometimes, one could think he is in San Franscico ! Here, huge homes with stained glass windows and wrought iron balconies alongside crumbling brick walls covered with street art gushing …. A beautiful bridge, the royal type, overlooks a vacant lot at the foot of the road, contrasting with the mid-city area, mid-residential …. I could undoubtedly continue as this for lines, as my neighborhood is so rich in architectural and social diversity.
As I started university only on Friday, I had the time to make a lot of visits in the town, even if I knew it before, because it’s always such a happiness to stroll in Barcelona’s streets…
Meanwhile an article on my university, and my classes, I leave you with some photos taken this first week!
